The 2026 Peninsula Grammar VCE Offshore Conference was held at Peninsula International School Australia from 9 to 11 July 2026. The event brought together educators, students, and education leaders from Australia, Malaysia, and China to share knowledge about VCE education and international cooperation.

Peninsula International School Australia successfully co-hosted the 2026 Peninsula Grammar VCE Offshore Conference from 9 to 11 July 2026. The conference brought together teachers, students, education leaders, and education representatives from Australia, Malaysia, and China. It was organised to share expertise in VCE education and explore opportunities for international educational cooperation.
This year’s theme was “Global Partnerships for Shared Success.” The conference highlighted the new educational opportunities that cooperation between countries and schools can create in a rapidly changing global education environment. The event was particularly meaningful because it was the first time that PISA had hosted the VCE Offshore Conference. All PISA VCE teachers participated directly, gaining opportunities for professional training and networking. The educational experience gained through the conference is expected to continue influencing PISA’s VCE teaching and student guidance.
3. VCAA Representatives and Education Experts Share Their Knowledge

The conference included key representatives from the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority (VCAA), together with a number of education specialists. The first programme began at the Courtyard by Marriott Hotel in Setia Alam with a luncheon, welcome address, and keynote presentations. Participants then travelled to the PISA campus for the official opening ceremony. PISA students welcomed the guests with a traditional Gamelan performance prepared under the guidance of Mr Fazli.
Speakers included Srii G. from Austrade, as well as Bonnie Hermawan, Dr Rachael Whittle, and Joanne Watkins from VCAA. Their presentations explored the VCE operating system and the educational opportunities provided through the VCE Offshore Programme. A panel discussion featuring Dr Kalanithi Muthu, Thanapprakash Rajindaran, and Melissa HE Chow examined the meaning and future direction of global cooperation in education during a rapidly changing educational environment. Stella Lau shared her views on innovation required in future schools during the age of artificial intelligence. Aananthi Seventhy also provided detailed information about Australian university pathways for international students.
4. Practical VCE Lessons and Professional Teacher Training

The conference went beyond lectures and discussions. It also included demonstration lessons involving PISA VCE students, allowing participants to observe teaching and learning methods used in an actual educational setting.
The professional training sessions were led by the Transnational Mentor Team from Peninsula Grammar. The sessions covered practical topics that could be applied directly in VCE classrooms, including:
- VCAA assessment and marking processes.
- Strengthening subject skills in science.
- Effective questioning techniques.
- New approaches to Chinese classical mythology.
- Learning strategies for improving examination achievement.
PISA expressed its sincere appreciation to Mrs Leandra Turner, Principal of Peninsula Grammar, and Mrs Melissa Wolsley Findlay, Director of Transnational Operations, for their active cooperation in the successful organisation of the event.
